Thoughts on Women Driving

We, the folks of the 21st century, will get to live two eras. An era of closure to the era of openness. We will witness the difference but our grandchildren will be used to this and this will be the norm of how they live. Time is changing, that’s for sure. And we don’t know what decision will be made in the next days.

In my personal opinion, this decision is wise and in good timing for people to handle it. It is wise and good for many reasons. First of all, a lot of families can’t afford to have a foreign driver so it is quiet difficult for them to make small errands. They will rely on Careem or Uber for transport, which again not very economical on the long run. But letting a woman drive by herself will be cost effective, indeed. Second of all, it will make females’ life easier as they don’t have to rely on their brothers or husbands to transport them. They can just get behind the wheel and drive, especially if it is an emergency.

I am very euphoric about it because it also empower women as they no longer need a male to take them anywhere. It builds freedom and independence which are both good for a woman’s personality.

I will definitely drive and learn how to drive and buy a lovely fancy car someday. The actual thought of being able to do something is truly amazing even if we didn’t do it. The choice is still ours!
